Crape Myrtle FAQs
The Crape Myrtle Festival is an annual sales event hosted by Homestead Gardens and encourages customers to redeem their Myrtle Money for in-store savings.
This year’s Crape Myrtle Festival will run from July 10 – 14, 2025. Store hours will be extended during each day. Thursday/Friday/Monday: 8AM-6PM, Saturday: 8AM – 8PM, Sunday: 9AM-6PM.
Customers earn Myrtle Money on all in-store purchases beginning March 1st. Customers receive 10% back of all purchases (pre-tax) as Myrtle Money. For example, a purchase of $50 will result in $5 of Myrtle Money. The money is a physical voucher that customers must hold onto until they are redeemed during the festival. Money is typically stapled to each receipt after purchase.
Myrtle Money acts as cash and is redeemable for up to 50% of the total purchase for regularly priced items. For example, up to $10 can be used for purchases of $20. Customers can redeem Myrtle Money during the Crape Myrtle Festival only.
Myrtle Money cannot be applied to sale items, special orders, past purchases, farm feed or pet food, grills, quantity breaks, planting services, landscape services, gift cards, bulk goods, mulch, labor, and delivery fees, or taxes.
While it is not an actual festival, it is the biggest sales event of the year boasting a festival of savings! Additionally, there will be some special in-store experiences (varies by location) including food trucks.
Crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia species) is a summer-flowering, deciduous small tree or shrub. It is a favorite among gardeners because of its beauty and low maintenance. The most common species in the United States is Lagerstroemia indica. To learn more, please click here.
Unfortunately, we cannot honor Myrtle Money that is not physically presented upon checkout and we do not replace misplaced Myrtle Money. There will be games incorporated at each location during the festival for an extra opportunity to win Myrtle Money (while supplies last).
It is FREE to attend. Homestead Gardens will remain open to the general public and customers do not have to present Myrtle Money to buy regularly priced items during the event.
All retail locations (Davidsonville, Severna Park, and Smyrna) participate in the Crape Myrtle Festival. In-store experiences will vary by location.
Sales are available while supplies last. Sorry, inventory will not be restocked.
When returning items purchased with myrtle money, the return value of each item is based on the discounted amount paid shown on your receipt.
