Key Nutrients for Fertility, Pregnancy & Mommahood

Happy May 13th! I’ve been feeling so creative, energized and focused lately! Be it the new moon coming, the place in my menstrual cycle, the sunshine or possibly (probably) all 3! The ‘Fuel for Labor’ PDF is getting finalized and will be released this week! SO EXCITED! Pregnancy is a time to prepare for the olympics of womanhood, LABOR! That means training your body, physically and mentally AND eating to thrive. Not only for yourself, but for your little one. You want them to be as healthy as possible right? Well, how do you think they get that way? Through the food YOU consume!

Nutrition is key to remaining or returning to homeostasis, a place where we can feel our greatest and achieve our goals.
For couples with fertility issues, nutrition and drink consumption should be the first place you clean up.
Pregnant? Your family should have the cleanest nutrition so baby gets everything it needs without stealing it from momma’s body.
New parents? Easy, whole food nutrition is key during this new phase of your life! Stay away from packaged goods as much as possible by keeping whole fruits and vegetables out where you can quickly grab and go!

If you are any of these, contact me to get you on the right track for your goals and situations! It’s easy to forget just how important the things we put in our mouth are and the heavy impact it has on our health.

That’s why I’m giving you a freebie today! Click below to download Chris Kresser’s guide for nutrient recommendations. Chris and his research are the cutting edge of resources for couples trying to get conceive, pregnant women and moms. Obviously, if you have special nutrient requirements or are on medication, always check with your medical professional of choice before supplementing.

Healthy Momma Key Nutrients

Why supplement? A couple reasons. Even if you eat a healthy, whole food diet, our food supply is not as nutrient dense as it was in the past. Broccoli today does not contain as much nutrients as broccoli our grandmothers ate! Sad, but true. SO even the healthiest of us can still be nutrient deficient.

As with any product you put in your body, do the research to find out how it was processed, what it was derived from, where it comes from and how it was grown. The type of supplement makes a difference too because certain types are easier for our bodies to absorb and use. Chris does a great job talking about supplementation in this article!
