Whoa Energy! Everyone needs to feel this!

Ever since Wednesday, I have felt incredible energized! Finally feeling out of the fog and frustration of food prep. I looked up some recipes this week and am feeling a lot more confident that I have resources to use for keto recipes.

Talking with other women who strength train, it always comes up that most women will never know how GREAT it feels to lift weights, eat a healthy meal or to simply feel confident about their body. Because they’ve never hired a fantastic trainer, been to a butt kicking class, prepared a nutrient dense meal for themselves or done anything that allows them to feel sure about their capabilities. We want ALL women to feel these things because you CAN! You can feel happier, more energetic, hopeful, love, confident!! It all starts with the choice to say yes to yourself. Say yes to hiring a trainer. Say yes to shopping for whole foods. These things are scary! But I promise, the temporary uncomfortable feeling will fade as you become an expert in what makes your body feel excellent. And it WILL feel excellent!

People have continued to ask me over the past couple weeks about this adventure and I can’t stress enough that ALL OF US should be watching how many carbohydrates we consume. When it comes down to it, our bodies don’t function well on high carb diets. Glucose, aka sugar, wreaks havoc on our hormones, nervous system, digestion, gut health (aka immune system) and so much more. Track your food for a week and see what your numbers are. No one should be consuming more than 30% carbohydrates if they are active. If you’re doing sprint training or high intensity training one day, add an extra serving of a carbohydrate to replenish your muscles. That could be a sweet potato or cup of rice. This means if you’re INACTIVE, you don’t need an abundance of carbohydrates because all your body is doing is storing the excess. This is why so many people are overweight. We have to be VERY conscious about what is in our food and how much we consume of it because the food industry has made it very easy to over-consume!

Because I’m at very low carb at this point, doesn’t mean it’s a phase or fad as most of us are brainwashed into thinking ‘new way of eating’ means. Diet means ‘what one consumes’. My keto diet is for therapeutic reasons, for healing. People use keto diets to jump start their metabolism or for weight loss goals. I highly recommend it under the supervision of a professional because you’re going to need help! I am constantly asking Adam questions and going over things with him. We all need guidance and a coach.

If you’re struggling with weight loss, hit a plateau or need a boost in energy, I recommend trying a ketogenic diet for a few months. Very low carbohydrate diets are found to lower risk of; heart disease, cancers, alzheimers, parkinsons, acne, infertility and much more.

I promise, once you get a good handle on what you can and can not eat, the process of eating becomes a lot easier. It’s a learning journey! Just like everything new in life, it takes a while to become situated. This energy boost is such a great reward for my hard work. I’ve NEVER felt THIS good.

Tonight I’m throwing the ingredients together for Chicken Pad Thai in the slow cooker! Looks incredible! Even better, check out this list of low carb crock pot meals! Definitely drool worthy!!

Mucho Love,
