Day 16 – Squatting for Birth
Squats prepare your body for birth. Why? Because they not only make your muscles more fatigue resistant, but they help your mental and physical endurance. If you can squat, you’re ready for anything! Squatting is also a natural position for birth, so the stronger you become throughout pregnancy, the longer you’ll be able to hold this position during birth.
The muscles trained during squats will keep your lower body stable and strong while your belly grows. The pelvic floor will be strengthened. Your lower back and core will stabilize you throughout the squat motion and in turn grow stronger.
