Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your time to get checked in and ready.
We are BYOB – no hard liquor please.
Throwing sessions are 50 minutes long.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing and sneakers/boots ONLY. No open-toed or high heeled shoes, you’ll be walking on wooded trails and rock/clay/mulch.
Bring filled water bottles, snacks welcome.

03/21: A forest had grown in this ‘storage’ pit. We fell these trees and dragged them out by hand.
Cleared out of the trees. Barrels, garbage, and cars remain.
Old beauties laid to rest. We pulled them out with neighbor’s tractor to be scrapped.
7/21: Boards built!
12/1/21: “Pit” finally leveled, rock and mulch laid.

Finished our 2nd post in the dark with a dirt slide!
12/12/21: Only 4 more posts to sink, lights to hang, fence installed for safety dividers, and tables completed.
1/15/22: Safety dividers are built.
Targets are up.

About Shadetree Homestead

Waylon and Colleen live and work on the property which is home to their various passions! Colleen was a strength coach serving pregnant women and moms in her past career life. Now she helps women and kids move their bodies in the outdoors through nature exploration, homestead activities (like chopping wood), woodworking, and more!! Waylon is a pro wrestler, yes WWE style, and we hosted our first wrestling event in March 2023! He leads our men’s groups, axe throwing, and helps with group activities! The grounds are also home to primitive camp sites, private events and weddings (contact us to book yours), movie nights, play dates, support groups, and educational classes!
